Vertical double antibiotic synergy test

ABSTRACT

 

Ziaei-Darounkalaei N, ,  Zahraei-Salehi T,  Ameri M,  Ziaei-Darounkalaei O, Mohajer-Tabrizi T, Bornaei L., Vertical double antibiotic synergy test, Onl J Vet Res., 18(6): 472-480, 2014. A method to evaluate synergistic and antagonistic combinations of penicillin G and gentamicin and erythromycin and clindamycin against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli using disk approximation as a reference is described. The results suggested that the method detected synergism of 62.5 and 75% and antagonism of 62.5 and 100% against S. aureus and E. coli, respectively.
