ABSTRACT
Sokhtehzari A, Alirezaei
M, Mirzaei A, Neamati Sh., Effect of P450-aromatase
on ovaries and placenta in pregnant sheep, Onl J Vet Res., 30 (3): 126-138, 2026.. Twenty-five placentas and
ovaries and six 3-5 month pregnant placenta cotyledons follicles and corpora lutea were excised for microscopy. Aromatase and estrogen
were determined by ELISA. Each month of pregnancy was
associated with a decrease of 0.49 Pmol/mg/30 minute
in aromatase in corpora lutea, 0.04 in caruncles but
an increase of 0.09 in cotyledons. Findings suggested ovarian and placental
aromatase activity changes during the 2nd half of ovine pregnancy and but declines in follicular fluid.
