Foronda, JC, Baticados WN, Baticados AM Prevalence of Babesia spp. in cattle (Philippines). Onl J Vet Res 30 (5): 313-319, 2026. We report prevalence of Babesia spp from 246 field bovine blood samples by blood parasitosis (BPE) and polymerase chain reaction (PCR). We found no Babesia spp by BPE but did find~650 bp amplicons with Babesia specific primers by PCR to yield overall  prevalence 2.03%. However, most PCR positive animals were females ≤ 1 year old.

Key words: Babesia, Polymerase chain reaction, Cattle, Philippines.
