ABSTRACT
Manuja A, Dhingra M, Kumar S, Sarkar S, Kumar B., Toll receptor 9 mRNA
expression in calves (Bubalus bubalis), Onl J Vet Res., 30 (9): 531-540, 2026. Toll-like receptors (TLR9) recognize unmethylated CpG dinucleotides in
bacterial or viral DNA to trigger innate immunity. We report transcriptional
expression of TLR9 from mesenteric lymphnode, tonsils,
spleen, blood, mucosae, lungs and intestine of buffalo calves by normalizing integrated
density values (IDV) of expression of GAPDH housekeeping gene. TLR9 mRNA
expression was validated by RT-PCR. All tissues and blood mononuclear cells
(PBMCs) highest expression was found in lymphoid tissues.
Key words: TLR9, mRNA expression,
calves, PCR.
