Incidence of Dipetalonema evansi in camels.

ABSTRACT

We report prevalence and seasonal fluctuation of Dipetalonema evansi in Camelus dromedarius) in Iran.  We determined D evansi in testicles, epidymis, spermatic cords, and lungs of 309 camels and found ~16% infected with adult filaria. Infection increased with age (P > 0.05) and found differences between male and females (P < 0.01).
