ABSTRACT

Borkataki S, Islam S, Sarma DK, Borkakaty MR, Goswami P. Sero diagnosis of Cysticercus cellulosae in pigs. Onl J Vet Res., 30 (9): 552-557, 2026. We infected pigs with ~ 1,000,000 Tania solium eggs orally. Sera from these pigs was tested for antigen and by 90 days we found 100% infection by ELISA, and ~75% by Agar Gel Precipitation Tests (AGPT) and Immunoelectrophoresis (CCIEP). By AGPT or CCIEP highest titres occurred in 1:10, 1:30 and 1:20 fluid antigen. However in sera collected on 10th,30th, 45th, 60th ,80th and 90th days we found no reaction with in those given purified fractioned fluid and membrane and scolex antigen.
