Seven Golden eagles (Aquila Chrysaetos) were given 30mg/kg intramuscular ketamine 1.0 mg/kg xylazine, 0.2 mg/kg diazepam or midazolam. Anesthesia onset was sooner but duration shorter with ketamine-xylazine-midazolam compared with ketamine-xylazine-diazepam.
