ABSTRACT

Rahimi-Feyli P, Afshari-Safavi EA., Effect of electro-ejaculation on physiological and electrocardiographical values in Sanjabi rams, Onl J Vet Res., 20(2):136-140, 2016. Electro-ejaculation (EE) is a technique for collecting semen in small ruminants which may induce stress. Heart and respiratory rate, temperature and electrocardiography (ECG) data were recorded 30 min before, during and after EE in 8 rams. The results suggested that during EE respiratory rate decreased whereas heart rate and temperature remained unchanged, whereas after EE, heart and respiratory rate increased, inducing sinus arrhythmia and tachycardia.

Key Words: Electro-ejaculation, Physiological Parameters, Rams. Raw data provided.
