Ill-thrift in calves with asymptomatic serum accumulations of copper, zinc and molybdenum.

ABSTRACT

 

Mozaffari AA, Iranmanesh M., Ill-thrift in calves with asymptomatic serum accumulations of copper, zinc and molybdenum, Online J Vet Res, 17 (2): 92-96, 2013. Jugular blood, urine and stool samples were taken from 20 dairy calves showing signs of ill-thrift. Values were compared with normal controls. Hematological, urinary, fecal, serum biochemistry, T3, T4 and trace metal values were determined. Serum copper, zinc and molybdenum concentrations were higher (P <0.05) compared with controls.
