ABSTRACT

Moradi Kor N, Moradi K.,  Effect of Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum L.) on production indices in Lohman LSL-lite hens, Onl J Vet Res., 17 (6): 323-328, 2013. Dose response effect of aqueous extract of Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum L.) on production performance of 65 week old white Lohman LSL-lite laying hens is described. Groups of 60 hens each were given 0, 5, 10 or 15ml Fenugreek extract in 1Lt drinking water for 6 weeks. Results from treated hens were compared with those given water and suggested that the highest dose of Fenugreek increased egg laying,  antibody titer against red blood cells and feed conversion but reduced feed intake.

Key Words: Fenugreek, Loman LSL-lite hens, production performance.
