Effect of tropicamide on intraocular pressure in guinea pigs

Eight guinea pigs were given 1% tropicamide ophthalmic solution in left eye whereas opposite eye were
untreated controls. Another 8
controls were treated by tear solution with contralateral eye not treated. Intraocular
pressure readings were obtained before and at 30, 60, 90 and 120 min after treatments.
We found no effect of 1%
tropicamide on intraocular pressure in guinea pigs.
