ABSTRACT

 

Talazadeh F, Akbari N, Rahbar M., Infestations by Menacanthus  stramineus lice in a peacock (Phasianidae), Onl J Vet Res., 27 (10): 550-553, 2023. We present a case report of a Peacock with severe respiratory distress with open-mouth gasping and rales. Bird had exfoliation of skin on head and neck and lice on skin, ear ,vent, head, wings and chest identified as Menacanthus stramineus.
