in milk of 15 Holstein, Friesian, Jersey or-bred cows each in early, middle and
late lactation are described. Protein determined by spectrophotometry
was highest at early and lowest (P < 0.01) at late lactation from 3.1% to
3.4% of protein. BY SDS PAGE on 15% gel we found great variation in bands
of α-caseins, β-caseins,
κ-casein and whey proteins β-lactoglobulin,
α-lactalbumin.
