ABSTRACT

Bog Spavin is a descriptive term for chronic distension of the tarsocrural (tibiotarsal) joint capsule of the hock, swelling noticed on the superio- anterio- internal aspect of the hock joint.  The present case describes the case history, clinical findings, diagnosis and successful management of Bog Spavin in a 14 year old Kathiawari gelding.
