ABSTRACT

Sajnani MR, Bhatt VD, Joshi CG., Identification of single nucleotide polymophisms using CLC and SeqMan transcriptome sequencing data, Online J Bioinform., 14 (1): 66-75, 2013. Next generation sequencing (NGS) technologies produce very large amount of data at low cost. Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs) are the most abundant form of genetic variation and need to be identified quickly. The performance of CLC and SeqMan for prediction of potential SNPs from human buccal cancer and healthy transcriptome data obtained from Roche 454 sequencing technology based on software utility, time, memory, disk space and accuracy are described.
