ABSTRACT

Hamedi S, Paryani MR., Effect of chronic oral nettle (Urtica Dioica L.) administration on microscopic structure of Bursa of fabricius and thymus in broilers, Onl J Vet Res., 19(5): 363-366, 2015. One-day old chickens were fed diets of 0.5, 1, 1.5, and 2% nettle or a control basal diet for 45 days. Birds were slaughtered and dissected for microscopy. Administration of nettle at 0.5 and 1% was associated with an increased number of follicles per plicae, pelica height, follicular width, cortical and medullar thickness in the Bursa of Fabricius. There was no visible effect on thymus structure.
